Gadget Greg talks Quik Pod on CityTV Breakfast Television in Edmonton
Edmonton’s Gadget Greg made an appearance on morning television and among the few gadgets he was reviewing - was the quik pod and quik pod DSLR. But Gadget Greg also concluded that four minutes wasn’t a lot of time to talk gadgets - and encouraged the viewing audience to head to the web for additional info on the products he was reviewing.
New York Times review on the “nefarious” Quik Pod
It was great of John Biggs to offer his review of the Quik Pod in the New York Times (of all papers!) We weren’t sure at first what Mr. Biggs really thought of the Quik Pod - immediately labeling it a “nefarious device.” But gladly the Times reviewer did seem to warm up to the Quik Pod and see its travel merits.
“While there’s nothing quite like asking a stranger to take your photo in front of a bubbling fountain in a distant, sun-dappled piazza, sometimes it’s easier just to whip out a big stick and snap away while letting the natives enjoy their own afternoon reveries.” - JOHN BIGGS, NEW YORK TIMES
Cali Lewis of GeekBrief.tv features the new Quik Pod Pro+ Precision
We’ve seen the host of Geekbrief.tv rave about the Quik Pod before (like here, on MSNBC) So it was nice to see Cali also love the new Quik Pod Pro+ Precision - with a camera leveling adaptor. Cali loved the new Quik Pod so much she even sings about it!
a Mom’s review of the Quik Pod
We thank a Mom who loves reviews for the successful Quik Pod givaway she ran on her blog last month (and also the kind words about the Quik Pod) We’re always thrilled to hear the Quik Pod helps a Mom get better pictures with her kids.
Well now there is no worry about that because I have a QuikPod to use and can take pictures of both Olivia and I or just myself without my arm getting in the way of the picture. Olivia and I have had a good time with the QuikPod and I’m actually looking into getting the QuikPod for my DSLR Camera that I have. - a Mom’s review

MSNBC.com thinks the QUIK POD DSLR can make a perfect Christmas gift for travel
Travel writer Rob Lovitt has created a neat list of gift items perfect for the person who loves to travel (and for the gift giver who may find themselves on a tight budget this holiday season.) Included in his list posted on MSNBC.com Lovitt included the “intelligent” QuikPod DSLR and these kind words:
Instead, this may be a good time to think small when shopping for the travelers on your Christmas list…
The Quik Pod DSLR ($50) is an intelligent alternative to taking self-portraits by holding your camera at arm’s length. As the bigger, newer version of the original Quik Pod, this extendable/collapsible monopod adjusts from 18 to 53 inches; will support cameras up to eight pounds; and comes with a wrist strap, carry bag and gel pad for bracing. It even features a small, built-in mirror so you can position it correctly and stop cutting off your subjects’ heads.” - Rob Lovitt, Travel writer - msnbc.com
Leading Tech News site G4techTV.ca asks its readers to “Picture Yourself with a Quikpod”
G4techTV.ca - a leading source of great technology and digital lifestyle news did an in-depth review on the Quik Pod and the Quik Pod DSLR for heavier cameras and video. G4TechTV’s gadget guy seemed to have a blast using the Quik Pod mentioning a ton of uses he found for the extendable camera accessory.
“While at first it seemed great to be able to do self-portraits, I discovered that it had quite a number of other useful features. First of all, not only you can use it for pictures, but also for video as well. You can attach it to a camera or a camcorder. In fact any device that uses a standard tripod thread mount.” - Greg Gazin, G4techTV.ca
Quik Pod review with Nokia video phone - it’s not just for digital still cameras
We love to see the Quik Pod used in new and innovative ways. Mark from TheNokiaBlog.com used a Nokia cell phone adaptor to attach his Nokia video phone to the Quik Pod. The results were very impressive.
“While traveling, it’s hard for me to trust a stranger to hold my expensive Nokia phone to take a picture. They might drop it or even worse run away with it. The Quik Pod fixes this problem for digital cameras by simulating an extended arm. By attaching the Nokia DT-22 to the Quik Pod, we now have a cool accessory to use for taking pictures or videos using our Nokia phones without the need of a stranger.” — Mark Guim, TheNokiaBlog.com
