New York Times review on the “nefarious” Quik Pod

It was great of John Biggs to offer his review of the Quik Pod in the New York Times (of all papers!) We weren’t sure at first what Mr. Biggs really thought of the Quik Pod - immediately labeling it a “nefarious device.” But gladly the Times reviewer did seem to warm up to the Quik Pod and see its travel merits.

We thank a Mom who loves reviews for the successful Quik Pod givaway she ran on her blog last month (and also the kind words about the Quik Pod) We’re always thrilled to hear the Quik Pod helps a Mom get better pictures with her kids.

Well now there is no worry about that because I have a QuikPod to use and can take pictures of both Olivia and I or just myself without my arm getting in the way of the picture. G4TechTV’s gadget guy seemed to have a blast using the Quik Pod mentioning a ton of uses he found for the extendable camera accessory.

We love to see the Quik Pod used in new and innovative ways. Mark from TheNokiaBlog.com used a Nokia cell phone adaptor to attach his Nokia video phone to the Quik Pod. The results were very impressive.

Quikpod helps photographer get above the crowd and shoot Jonas Brothers photos at Muchmusic TV in Toronto

DickRichie sent us some shots of current teen idols, The Jonas Brothers - which were taken among a sea of thousands that showed up at television station, MuchMusic to greet the boys.

There were thousands of screaming girls packed tightly around the stage. Waving signs and in general making it difficult to get a good shot. I used my quikpod to get my camera above the crowd and got some good shots.
